Welcome to liquidmocean. To start with, the name, the name is a play on words joining two elements, liquid relates to the Ocean and all liquid elements that may be used as platforms for sporting endeavors. The second part of the name mocean is a deliberate miss-spelling of the word motion and relates to the resulting movements we experience when interacting with the Ocean and waterways of the World in a natural, non mechanically assisted, way. As much as we are dedicated to the Ocean and the whole lifestyle aspect that affords us we are also very concerned with the welfare of our planet as a whole. For that reason we embrace sustainable and naturally produced fibers such as Bamboo and Hemp for the creation of our clothing products where possible.

We like to think that liquidmocean is more an aesthetic, not just a surf or Ocean themed imaging endeavor. Whilst imaging, both motion and still, play a core visual element for the framework on which the company is structured, there are other aspects at play here too. Our main goal is to become a brand, a service to those individuals with an affinity for the Ocean, and water sports in general to be able to identify with.  liquidmocean is about clothing, it is designed to promote one element we as a species are constantly drawn to, water. Whether that be in the form of Ocean sports or others played out on a liquid platform our ambition is through awareness that we will be able to instill a desire to protect the one element that unites us all, our Planet. Our road map for the years ahead includes the expansion of our product line to include a funky line of underwear that revolves on a beach theme as well as the creation of a specific footwear item containing elements made from recycled plastics. With a realistic goal to create a fully sustainable textile source on the island to support our clothing production and to also bring a small POV Sports camera to market promotes the company as ambitious, adventurous and innovative. We are as passionate about sharing the vibe of water sports as we are protecting the one earth that we all share. Our business priorities are such that we make decisions based on the potential impacts they may have on our environment, we choose to select the planet before profits.

The driving force behind liquidmocean is a keen photographer and is responsible for all the imagery contained on this site. Hailing from a predominantly military background with 12 years served in an array of military departments. He has worked for many professional broadcast entities for commission filming options and eventually became a field producer with the National Geographic Television and Film Remote Imaging department, better known as ‘Crittercam’. For just over a year he was the guy traveling the globe fixing small POV cameras to an array of Marine wildlife such as Great White and Tiger Sharks in South Africa, Sperm Whales in Baja California and Australian Sea Lions in Southern Australia. As the global economy took a nose dive the decision was made to move to Bali and set about the idea for liquidmocean. It’s been a great ride until now, and it’s about to get a lot more interesting, real soon.
